Things have gone well in the last 2 weeks. My brother went into his surgery and came out fine. I stayed over with him one night, and he is doing well. The house got cleaned up, and put together nicely for my inlaws that showed up last week. They stayed 4 days, leaving on Saturday afternoon, after the reception, which went off swimmingly in and of itself. We scored some nice gifts and gift cards, and had friends and family over. The catering was fair to good, the rentals came and went wonderfully. All in all, it was a great weekend. I am still recovering, but it was great. Things are a lot more relaxed for me now. I have the funeral this Saturday, the girls boobs and booze this weekend, and I think Shawna and I are going out Fri night dancing…. But that all is pretty easy stuff.
I haven’t started my period yet, but the test is still negative, so I am sitting tight, not expecting much.
I did get a phone call today from the county (while I was in the middle of work meetings down town this morning!!). They are offering me the job, but I am supposed to call back and find out the details. I am not really scared about it. I decided before going into the job that I wasn’t taking it. I didn’t get all nervous, or get all worked up over the interview because I knew I wouldn’t take it. Apparently that is what made me interview so well. They did interviews all day Thurs and Friday, so outta all those, to get picked, meant a lot. And with 4 people interviewing, I was in and out in 15 minutes. LOL I didn’t give long answers, I didn’t ask any questions, just answered what they had, which, when you think about it, is kinda funny. Being that I don’t really need a new job helps out too though.
JR is going thru a lying phase. About everything, it seems. Brushing his teeth, homework, gah. Its driving me crazy.
I am going to get back to work now, being out all AM, has left me with plenty to do!
